The Sun, Earth, and Moon: Our Cosmic Neighbors
The Sun, Earth, and Moon are like a family in space. The Sun, the biggest of the three, is the center of our solar system. It's a huge ball of hot gasses and gives us heat and light. Without the Sun, plants couldn't grow and we wouldn't have daytime! Earth, our home, is the third planet from the Sun. It's covered by oceans and lands with a rich mix of animals, plants, and humans. Earth spins like a top, making one full turn every 24 hours. This spinning gives us day and night. The Moon, Earth's buddy, is the closest to us. It's a rocky place with no air or water. The Moon doesn't have its own light, but we can see it because it reflects the Sun's light. It spins around the Earth, causing the tides to rise and fall in our oceans. So, even though they're very different, the Sun, Earth, and Moon work together to create the world we know!
