From there, he travels into the small intestine where nutrients are absorbed from him into the bloodstream. Sammy's journey continues as what's left of him enters the large intestine. Here, water and electrolytes are absorbed from him, turning him into a solid waste. Finally, Sammy's adventure ends as he exits the body. What a journey for Sammy, and what an amazing job by the digestive system!
