Text, Questions & Answers
Guess what? You are surrounded by matter everywhere! From the chair you're sitting on to the air you breathe, it's all matter. Matter comes in three states: solid, liquid, and gas. Solids have a definite shape and volume like your favorite toy. Liquids, such as water, take the shape of their container but have a definite volume. Gases, just like the air, don't have a definite shape or volume. They spread out and fill up space. Did you know matter can change states? Water can turn into ice or steam. Understanding matter is fun and helps us appreciate all the amazing things happening around us!
