The Thoughts of an Astronaut
On a typical day aboard the intergalactic spaceship Orion, the young astronaut Kai would often wonder about the possibilities of space. If he were to find life on another planet, he thought, would they be friendly or dangerous?
One day, While Kai was navigating through an unusual part of space, he suddenly noticed the spaceship's engine was losing power. If the engine failed completely, he thought, he could be stranded forever in this far away galaxy. He wouldn't have any communication or support from mission control back home. Determined, Kai began to repair the engine. He knew that if he fixed the engine, he would be able to continue his journey and, perhaps, find the answers to his questions.
Kai patiently and calmly repaired his ship. He knew that if he were to meet aliens, he would need to to be brave. This was his mission and he couldn't quit now.
