The Trojan War: A Tale of Gods, Heroes and a Wooden Horse
Long, long ago, the city of Troy was a powerful place in ancient times. A prince from Troy, Paris, was chosen by the goddess Aphrodite to receive the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen. But there was a problem - Helen was already married to King Menelaus of Sparta! When Paris took Helen to Troy, it started a war that lasted for ten years. The Trojan War had many heroes like the brave Achilles and wise Odysseus from the Greek side. The Trojans had their hero Hector, known for his courage and loyalty. The gods and goddesses also played their part, often taking sides and influencing the war's outcome. It was said that a prophecy had predicted the fall of Troy which added to the war's suspense. At the end of the war, the Greeks couldn't break the strong walls of Troy. So, they used a clever trick called the Trojan Horse. They left a huge wooden horse as a gift and hid their best soldiers inside it. When the Trojans brought the horse inside the city walls, the soldiers came out at night and captured the city, marking the end of the war.
