The Life and Times of a Sheep
Meet Sally, an adorable sheep. She was born a tiny lamb, but with time she grew big and healthy. Sheep like Sally live in groups known as flocks. Besides enjoying each other s company, staying in a flock helps them stay safe from predators. Sally has a fluffy wool coat, which is useful not just for her but for us too! Her wool is sheared, or cut off, to make warm clothes. Don t worry, it doesn t hurt her and grows back soon. Sheep like Sally are herbivores, meaning they eat plants. Grass is their favorite food! Sally and her friends are looked after by a shepherd, who ensures they re well-fed and safe from harm. Just like Sally, every sheep plays an important role on the farm. Next time you see one, don t forget to say hello!
