Have you ever spoken to Siri or Alexa? These are examples of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machines that mimic human intelligence. But how did AI start? It began with the 'Turing Test' by Alan Turing in 1950, a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior. Six years later, the Dartmouth Conference marked the birth of AI as a field. But AI faced setbacks during the 1970s and 1980s, known as the 'AI Winter,' due to lack of progress and reduced funding. Yet, AI bounced back. Nowadays, AI is all around us, like in video games, online customer support, and autonomous cars. With advancements in technology and increasing data, AI has a promising future. Data fuels AI, and the more data we have, the better AI can learn and improve, a concept known as machine learning. AI's impact on jobs and society is significant. Some jobs may be automated, but AI can also create new jobs that we can't even imagine yet. It's exciting to think about what AI will do next!
