A Day at Root Academy
Afternoons at Root Academy start with a warm greeting from Ms. Hana, one of our cheerful teachers. We then head to our classes, which include ELA or Math. Mrs. Yoo, our director, makes equations feel like puzzles, challenging and fun. English class with Ms. Grace is always interesting. She encourages us to understand stories, not just read them. Break time at Root is as exciting as the classes. We can choose from a variety of snack options, and everyone loves going to different classrooms to talk to their friends. After break, we go back to our respective classrooms. Sometimes, we play games and collaborate with one another to achieve the best results. The support and encouragement from my teachers and peers make the hard work worth it. Winning or not, I've learned so much from this experience. After school, I head to the gym for basketball practice. Despite the competition, the games always end with high fives and cheers for each other. Being a student at Root Academy isn’t just about academics. It is about growing together, learning to be kind, and supporting each other. As I head home, I am already looking forward to another exciting day at Root.
