Operations Manager (TLV)

Overview

ReadTheory, a profitable EdTech company used by over 20 million students worldwide, is hiring an Operations Manager in Tel Aviv. This role combines operational ownership (finance and legal operations) with high‑value strategic and business development work. The position is hybrid: three days in the office, two days from home.

Candidate Profile

A strategic, analytical operator able to shift fluidly between structured thinking and execution. Likely backgrounds include management consulting, finance roles, legal (in-house or commercial law in a large law firm), business operations or strategy roles in tech companies, chief of Staff–type roles in small or growing organizations, etc.

  • Strong communicator with crisp reasoning and concise writing
  • Comfortable working on parallel threads across finance, legal, and strategic initiatives
  • Able to independently push projects toward completion

Responsibilities

A unified operational and strategic role that includes:

  • Coordinating with external accountants, bookkeepers, payroll providers, and tax advisors (Israel and U.S.) while supporting monthly and quarterly finance processes such as invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and expense flows.
  • Preparing concise financial summaries and working with leadership on financial and legal documentation.
  • Managing contract workflows (NDAs, DPAs, partner agreements, vendor agreements) and liaising with external counsel on compliance or legal questions.
  • Driving high-value strategic and cross-functional projects with the managing partners, including business development research, preparation of materials, opportunity assessments, and coordination with prospects or partners.
  • Conducting market scans, competitive analyses, and helping evaluate and prioritize strategic opportunities.
  • Building structured action plans for major initiatives and ensuring alignment and execution across stakeholders.
  • Designing and improving processes, workflows, and internal systems to increase organizational clarity, efficiency, and operational scalability.

Qualifications - Must-Haves

  • 2+ years in consulting, finance, legal, business operations, or strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfort with numbers, contracts, and structured problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Hebrew and English.
  • High proficiency with spreadsheets and modern productivity tools.
  • Tel Aviv–based; able to work three days per week in the office.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in tech, SaaS, or EdTech
  • Exposure to Israel–U.S. operational coordination
  • Experience working directly with founders or executive teams
  • Ability to build lightweight models and executive-ready summaries
